Emmy Awards 2023

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Black Bird for their four—yes, four—Emmy award nominations, including two in the same category (a rarity for the awards program). The Apple TV+ series based on Jimmy Keene’s autobiographical novel featured the talents of Paul Walter Hauser, who portrayed serial killer Larry Hill, earning Walter Houser a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Co-star Ray Liotta, who passed away in May of 2022, was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor as “Big Jim Keene”. Leading man Taron Egerton stars as Jimmy Keene and is now a contender for the winner of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. The series is also in the running for a fourth Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography.
